    Hit a new best yesterday...111mph Nothing special for most of you guys, but a new place for me. Stock 260, ~85* air temp, Mazco RE3-27 turning 8700rpm. Wish I had my 29 with me now!

    Thanks Anthony. The boat seems to be running real well right now (I hope it's not the case of it runs best right before it breaks!). Went 107, 2-up with the 27, then 108 2-up with the 29. I like the way the 27 carries the boat better, so I'm gonna have my prop guy mod the 29 a bit. The 27 has 1* less rake (17* vs. 18*), so a little more stern lift. He says he can add stern lift by adding some cup on the trailing edge of the blades near the root. We'll see what it does.

    Thanks. I think your calculator is broke though. Did you use a 29 pitch or 27? I ran that with the 27...WISH I had the 29. I got 5% on my calculator. Boating season is just getting real good here. Was still in the low 90's last weekend in Havasu. Can't wait for the 50ish temps this winter...always goes faster when it's cool out.

    Well, I don't have any money right now, but might be running into some and would consider buying the molds for a decent price. I'm no fiberglass guy, but I love the PCS deck and would like to build myself a new one for my boat. Rather than buy a deck, I'd like to have a guy of my choosing build one, but that requires the mold - or making one from my deck, which is more work/money than buying the existing molds I'd guess.

    I bought directly from B and D automotive (http://www.bndautomotive.com), but that gallon cost me $200. I was told previously that it should have run me about $125 - so not sure if I got ripped by going direct or not. I'd do some calling around before ordering again.

    I bought a gallon of the TK-7 (now ACES 4) to do some testing...haven't done it myself yet. My dad did have a River Rocket with a stout 260 with 190# compression and was able to run 93 + ACES 4 with no problems.

    Sounds like you need to find a good prop guy...they can add more bite off the bottom. My guy is Kevin @ R&R Prop Shop. 702-564-7502. He has a lightweight River Rocket with a 300 drag as well.
  22. This is an original Summerford River Rocket with a mod VP bottom. It is currently set up as a drag boat, side by side front seat, no rear seat, racing fuel cell in middle of boat, dual cable steering, manual jackplate. The boat has been painted and is is in decent cosmetic condition. There are some sings of cosmetic repair, but no structural damage. There is a small crack in the upper deck at the rear cowl area. Set up for Mercury, all guages need re wiring, foot throttle included. It is sitting on a galvanized tandem Hustler trailer. Tires are fair, bearings are fresh, road ready. I was told, by the previous owner the boat ran 10.50's in the quarter with a modified 260. The boat is light, but not paper thin. Was going to restore and repower, but plans have changed. Boat has a new Florida title and trailer has new Florida registration. First $4,500.00 gets it. Pics to follow. 772-398-0321 Located in Port St. Lucie, Fl.

    Yep, still got'm. The only thing bad about them is that they are like a roller skate/skateboard axle...steel shaft with "flutes" pressed into an alum housing. Eventually, the flutes don't bite the alum anymore and get loose. I have 2 sets, so I mix and match to make it all work. Lining them up can be a bear too, wielding that large seat cowl. Work great once in though.

    Sure looks like it sits higher in the front and the rub rail is more out of the water at the back than my boat. I'd assume this means it's a lighter rig since the hull displaces the same volume. Mine is 1630#, 20 gals of fuel, no driver.
