  1. Pro-Comp back seat&ferring

Thank's guy's I will let you guy's know for sure what happens when our first boat run's over 130 and what reaction we get from all those non believers, it's going to be great to finally shut them up. Thank's, Fast Freddy.
  2. Pro-Comp back seat&ferring

Hey Pro-Comp my buddy talked to Dave today and the ferring will cost $250.00. Thanks R.T. for getting us the # for Dave with the mold. By the way we are bringing 3 S.T.V.'s to the 125mph outboard pleasure boat thread on S&F site that are going to take there cash for talking trash about how these boats won't run those speed's.
  3. Pro-Comp back seat&ferring

Hey guy's a friend of mine just bought an "89" single seater with the ferring from the floor to the back. He's trying to locate the back seat with the ferring like the one in the Pro-Comp Ski, does anyone know where the mold is or someone that may have had one copied to make some more? Thanks Fred.
  4. Whats your TOP SPEED of your STV?

Hey Keith I think the 2.5 260's are putting out a lot more pony's than Mercury tag them with. Mine has 31cc heads, a spacer plate, Diamond tuner, and I recently hogged out the exhaust cavity myself, no porting on the block and no SVS, my Pro-Comp weigh's 1400lbs w/o me, so I don't think the motor is only making 260hp, but it sure get's my buddy's with there Drag motors pissed when I pull into Amoco and get that 93 octane $1.70 gas compared to there C-12 VP race fuel.
  5. Whats your TOP SPEED of your STV?

Hey guys its been awhile since I've checked out the site, Looking Good, STV Keith don't feel bad about your 3 seater Pro Comp I got mine running pretty decent with a 260hp turning a 14.5x32 cleaver @8550 gps reading 126mph, but then I get spanked by two of my buddy's with there 130+mph STV's.
  6. Pro comp ski vs River Rocket

EFI, I have a good friend with the hull your talking about it's 89 with the narrow deck RT talked about, the bottom has the deep inverted V (ski-bottom) he's got Diamond 2.5 making some serious power, It's gone 130mph with a 14.5-32 Cleaver on a SM case, It's getting an XR6 1.78 soon, who knows how fast it will go then.
  7. Pro comp ski vs River Rocket

Hey Rhett, I have a friend with a river rocket it's got an S3000 with an AMS system light flywheel and a XR6 1.78 gearcase that ran 132mph on 112 octane, now he runs 30cc heads and 100 octane with a 1.87 cle case and the same 14.5-30 cleaver and slows down to 125mph, he's pretty pissed at my pro-comp with a 260 running the same speed, I think if they are 3-4 faster he should be spanking my PC.
  8. How fast can they go?

Hey Anthony, you are right on with your guess, I just ran the boat sat. in a whopping 75 degree day here in Florida and ran 125 with my 14-32 cleaver at 11% slip, but last week I got to try a 14.5-32 and that prop got me 126 at 8500rpm it has less slip, it pulls alot harder than mine from 80 up. By the way RT I do have 32cc's and still run that pump fuel, I haven't had a chance to run top end in salt water and I've been told it's good for a couple mph's I can't see this happening since the boat is so far out of the water already. Is this true, 128 with a 260 and a bob's 1.87 gearcase I dont know, kind of hard to believe.
  9. How fast can they go?

Hey guys I need to know fast these hulls are capable of running with pretty stock 260's for power? I've got a (94) Pro-Comp ski. with a 260 that's allready run 126mph and I'm really getting tired of explaining to all these slap-nuts in my area with there 100mph 260 Mirage's that it's not my motor making 340hp but maybe it's the S.T.V. hull running the numbers. Let me know if there are any other 1400 pound Pro- Comp's running this fast with 260's (not ported) and no XR6 cases on 93 octane, or do I got a freak?

  11. Prop choices?

Techno, I think your 260 will be fine turning 32 merc cleaver, I got one on a 94 pro comp going 126mph @ 8500rpm with 31cc heads, spacer plate, diamond tuner, a do it yourself exhaust cav. clean up, on 93 octane and an analog A17 brain. Make sure it's 14.5 dia. Fred.
