Length?

Recommended Posts

I have a 20' x 22' boathouse and I'd like to know if I can get a Euro in there. It would have to come in at or below 21' in length to squeeze in. I don't mind having to turn the steering to full lock but if a Euro won't fit, I'll stop looking for one.

Does anyone know if I've got a chance?

You would be pretty close. I am about 23'-8" inside dim and I think I have about 3' behind the engine with 6" of SB. I'll try and get a tape on tommorow.

BTW...did you need to fit the trailer also...?

Tom I am reading about 21'-3" to 5" on the tape from the end of the pickle to end of anti-vent plate \ offshore snout (longest dim)...again this includes 6" of SB. Without SB, it would be under 21'.

I just got back from the lake. It turns out, the boathouse is 24' long, not 22' as hand drawn on the survey. It's still not much extra length but should make things a wee bit more comfortable.

Thanks again.

Hi Tom ;

Welcome to the board.

I say, don't give up the search for a Euro, build a bigger boathouse. :D

Best of luck with both ventures !!

Regards,

Bruce. :)
