Norton Anti Virus and Windows XP.

Recommended Posts

Anyone running Norton Anti Virus with Windows XP home edition,  be careful if doing a live update.

We lost everything on our C drive when our machine crashed yesterday.

After having our entire system erased and re-formatted our computer guy said there was no visus in our system,  it was a problem with norton.

After starting out from scratch and re-installing Norton 2002 off a CD things were fine,  until we ran a live update and crashed again,

Would have lost everythig again.

Anyone heard of this before ??

Thanks.

Randy.

I think the norton discovered the microsoft windows program is the virus, you know how bill gates is. release something that doesn't work for more money.

Maybe XP is a virus? Hmmm.

My machine is too old for any viruses to live in, they're too complex.

It says on the front door UNIVAC.
